A day at the waterpark is a full day away from home. We’re providing you a checklist of things to bring to the pool and the reason behind bringing them with. This item is vital: sunblock! There’s nothing worse than going home with a sunburn. It can ruin your last few hours in the park and so on. Make sure to protect your skin with at least 50 spf, and note that you can still get sunburn when it’s cloudy! If you have sensitive skin, a sun hat or baseball cap can be a great idea to shade your face. If you don’t bring a sun hat or baseball cap, a pair of sunglasses is a must have. Squinting in the sun all day can be tiresome, so pack a pair! While keeping your skin protected, remember to stay hydrated. There are water fountains throughout the park where you can fill up your reusable water bottle.
Next, bring beach towels for everyone. In between enjoying the water, eating and resting in the shade, having a towel on hand is always a good idea. If you have older children who go about the park themselves, bring a book or magazine to relax by the wave pool or in your cabana. On the flip side, if you have younger kids who can’t take advantage of all of the attractions, bring along some sand toys to build in Brock’s Giant Sandbox! It can be a fun activity when they need a break from the water, we also have showers located in the bathhouses to rinse off post-sand play. Which leads us into our next item, a change of dry clothes. You’ll feel much better in dry clothes in the car ride home and the kids will too! It can seem like a hassle when packing, but it’s worth it after a long day.
With all of those items in tow, you’re all set for a successful water park day!
