Overview: Raging Waves is Illinois' newest and largest outdoor waterpark, located on 45 acres in Yorkville, IL, 45 minutes west of the Chicago loop. During the summer months, thousands of guests visit the aussie-themed, family friendly waterpark which features a giant wave pool, a lazy river, 18 water slides - one featuring a four-story drop, a separate kiddie pool area and various play structures, a large sand area, over 20 private cabanas and more. Since its aperture in 2008, Raging Waves is one of the World Waterpark Association's (WWA) newest attractions, and was named as "Best of the Midwest 2010" by Midwest Living Magazine.
