Q . Does Raging Waves charge for parking?
A. General parking at Raging Waves is FREE! Preferred parking is available for $5.00/car.
Q. Do you have lifeguards on duty?
A. Yes. Raging Waves has lifeguards in all of its attractions. All Raging Waves lifeguards are certified by Ellis and Associates, the leaders in water park safety.
Q. Does everyone need an admission ticket to enter?
A. Everyone entering Raging Waves must have an admission ticket. We do not offer spectator admission. See 2012 rates.
Q. Can I bring food and beverages into Raging Waves?
A. No outside food or beverages are permitted except factory-sealed water bottles (water only– nothing else – ie. Propel, etc…). No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto Raging Waves property. For the safety of all guests, no knives, glass items (including but not limited to jars, bottles, and mirrors), or other sharp or potentially dangerous items may be brought into Raging Waves and all bags are inspected upon entrance. Unauthorized items will need to be thrown away or returned to your vehicle. Raging Waves will not hold unauthorized items for guests.
Q. Can we bring a cooler?
A. You may only bring SOFT coolers into the park that are no larger than 8” X 10” x 8”. (Lunch box size)
Q. What should I wear? Dress code and footwear.
A. Proper swimming attire is required. Thong bikinis are not allowed. Any guests wearing clothes that is offensive, such as clothing with profanity will be asked to change.
Swim diapers are required for tots.
Q. Is the food at Raging Waves expensive?
A. No. Food and beverage prices at Raging Waves are competitive with many popular fast food restaurants. Pizza, hot dogs, and burgers are available—as are healthier choices including fruit and fresh salads. 2012 Menu
Q. Are there height restrictions for some of the slides?
A. For guests 48" tall or taller, there are no restrictions (except in areas designed for young children). For those less than 48" tall there are slide restrictions and the admission price is reduced. Learn more about height restrictions.
Q. What is Raging Waves smoking policy?
A. Raging Waves is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the park. We offer a designated area outside of the park.
Q. At what age can children be at Raging Waves on their own?
A. Children 13 years old or older may visit Raging Waves without adult supervision. Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 18 years of age or older. Children 12 and under may never be dropped off and left unsupervised.
Q. Do I have to rent a tube for rides?
A. Tubes are provided for free on all rides that require a tube. Private tubes are available for a daily rental fee of $5.00 and may reduce waiting times at rides, but are not required. Only rental tubes are allowed in the wave pool.
Q. Are lockers available?
A. Daily rental lockers are available for $7.00 (Plus $5.00 refundable key deposit)
Q. I want to make this a special day for my family or group. Do you rent private cabanas?
A. Yes we do. Cabanas overlook the Great Barrier Reef Wave Pool or Kookarburra Kreek Lazy River. Cabanas are furnished with 5 chairs, a table and 3 lounge chairs. Cabana rentals also include wait staff service and a special snack. We also throw in one free preferred parking space. Cabanas can accommodate up to 8 guests per cabana.
Each guest will receive a wristband and only guests with wristbands will be allowed into the cabana areas.

Q. May I bring my own lifejacket and/or tube into the water park?
A. Outside lifejackets are permitted if they bear the "Coast Guard Approved" tag. We have complimentary life jackets available on racks throughout the park on a first-come, first-served basis.
Because of the active nature of our attractions, personal floatation devices, including children's water wings are not allowed in any of the attractions.
Q. Do you have a spectator admission ticket?
A. All guests entering the water park must have a regular ticket. There is no way to separate or regulate those who are not using the attractions. Some chaparone allowances are made for groups. Children 2 years old and younger are admitted for free and we offer reduced rates for seniors (ages 62 years old and older).
Q. Do you rent towels?
A. No, but we do sell them in the gift shop.
Q. Does Raging Waves offer rainchecks in case of inclement weather?
A. Raging Waves is open every day of the season, rain or shine but can close for the day based on current poor conditions and a poor forecast. If we experience inclement weather that includes lightning (or some other extreme weather condition), the park will suspend operations until it passes. If the park closes for the day, all customers remaining in the park (except season pass holders) will receive a complimentary return ticket for a visit during the 2012 season. Guests must have ticket stub for to exchange for complimentary return ticket. Exchange may be done only on the day in which the park closes. Refunds and rain checks are not offered.

Q. Do you offer special rates for lodging in the area?

Q. What is the re-entry policy?
A.You may leave and re-enter the park as needed. Everyone must get their hand stamped before leaving if they would like to re-enter. In addition to showing the hand stamp, guests must also show their ticket stub from that day or a season pass. Transferring hand stamps is prohibited. Guests will not be allowed to re-enter once the park has been closed.
Q. What is the refund policy?
A. All tickets purchased online or at the park are non-refundable. Tickets are valid for the 2012 season and expire September 3, 2012. (No extensions are allowed)
Q. What is the best place and time to eat?
A. Raging Waves offers 2 restaurants and multiple snack carts throughout the park. To beat the crowds we recommend eating around 11:00am or after 1:30pm for lunch and heading to the Hungry Croc for shorter lines and quicker service.
Q. What do I do if my party gets separated?
A. We know that when visiting the waterpark you might be concerned about getting separated during the excitement of your visit. It is important that each family or group establish a meeting point for family and friends. We recommend an area outside of the main plaza at specific times throughout the day to check up on all group members. Raging Waves does not page for lost guests but any of our uniformed team members and Guest Services is always happy to assist you.
Q. Do you have an ATM machine?
A. Yes we do. Our ATM machine is conveniently located inside our gift shop.
Q. What forms of payment does Raging Waves accept?
A. Raging waves accepts cash and all major credit and debit cards.
Q. I am traveling with my pet. Can I bring them into the park with me?
A. Although we can’t invite your furry friend to join us at Raging Waves, we can direct you to a nearby kennel. Country Comfort Kennels, Inc., in Yorkville is a licensed kennel and the closest one to the water park. Contact them at 630-553-9432 for hours, pricing, and other information.
