Raging Waves FAQ

  1. When is Raging Waves open in 2010?
    We opened on May 29, 2010. Our season is in full swing! Click here for a complete schedule.
  2. Does Raging Waves charge for parking?
    General parking at Raging Waves is free. Priority parking is available for $5.00/car.
  3. Does everyone need an admission ticket to enter?
    Everyone entering Raging Waves must have an admission ticket.

  4. Can I bring food and beverages into Raging Waves?
    No outside food or beverages are permitted except factory-sealed water bottles (water only– nothing else – ie. Propel, etc…). No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto Raging Waves property. For the safety of all guests, no knives, glass items (including but not limited to jars, bottles, and mirrors), or other sharp or potentially dangerous items may be brought into Raging Waves Waterpark and all bags are inspected on entrance.
  5. Can we bring a cooler? You may bring soft coolers into the park that are no larger than 8” X 10” x 8”.
  6. I am traveling with my pet. Can I bring them into the park with me?
    Although we can’t invite your furry friend to join us at Raging Waves, we can direct you to a nearby kennel. Country Comfort Kennels, Inc., in Yorkville is a licensed kennel and the closest one to the waterpark. It’s just over a mile from Raging Waves. The folks there will be glad to care for the four-legged member of your family while the rest of you spend the day at the park. Country Comfort Kennels, Inc. is at 3215 Cannonball Trail in Yorkville.   7. What are your concession prices?
    Food and beverage prices at Raging Waves are competitive with many popular fast food restaurants. Pizza, nachos, and burgers are available—as are healthier choices including fruit and fresh salads.
  8. Are there height restrictions for some of the slides?
    If your child is 48" tall or taller, there are no restrictions (except in areas designed for young children). For those less than 48" tall there are slide restrictions and the admission price is reduced. Learn more about height restrictions.
  9. What is Raging Waves smoking policy?
    Raging Waves is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the waterpark’s property.
  10. At what age can children be at Raging Waves on their own?
    Children 13 years old or older may visit Raging Waves without adult supervision.
  11. Do I have to rent a tube for rides?
    Tubes are provided for free on all rides that require a tube. Private tubes are available for a daily rental fee of $5.00 and may reduce waiting times at rides, but are not required.
  12. Are lockers available?
    Daily rental lockers are available for $6.00/day with an additional and returnable $5.00 key deposit.
  13. I want to make this a special day for my family or group. Do you rent private cabanas?
    Cabanas overlook the Great Barrier Reef Wave Pool or Kookarburra Kreek. Cabanas are furnished with 5 chairs, a table and 3 lounge chairs. Cabana rentals at Raging Waves waterpark also inlcude wait staff service and a special snack such. We also throw in one free preferred parking space.

    Reservations can be made online or in person. Cabanas are reserved on a first-come basis.

  14. May I bring my own lifejacket and/or tube into the waterpark?
    Outside lifejackets are permitted if they bear the "Coast Guard Approved" tag. We provide life jackets on a first-come, first-served basis. Outside tubes may not be used—all Raging Waves tubes are custom-made to be used on our rides.
  15. Do you have a spectator admission ticket?
    All guests of the waterpark must have a regular ticket. Children 2 years old and younger are admitted for free and we offer reduced rates for seniors (ages 62 years old and older).
  16. Park Closing Policy - Rain Checks
    Raging Waves is open every day of the season, rain or shine but can close for the day based on current poor conditions and a poor forecast. If we experience inclement weather that includes lightning (or some other extreme weather condition), the park will suspend operations until it passes. If the park closes for the day, all customers remaining in the park (except season pass holders) will receive a complimentary return ticket for a visit during the 2010 season.

2010 Group Questions:

  1. Do I need reservation to get the discount group rate?
    To receive the discount group rates, you must have advance reservations (minimum one week in advance of your trip with a 25% non-refundable deposit). Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Dates do fill up—so be sure to make your reservations as early as possible.
